School Web Sites: Services and Prices

PHASE ONE - "Getting on the Internet" includes the following two services:

1. Design, develop, and launch a school web site for $1,700.00 that includes:
  • URL - www.taskbuilderonline.com/name of school/
  • Home page
  • Welcome page
  • Action page
  • TaskBuilderOnline™ standards-based instruction and assessment tasks page
  • Links page
  • Comments page

A LearningFront™ web designer will work with you via site visits, email, the Internet, fax, and telephone to design, develop, and launch your school web site. Getting on the Internet typically follows this process:

The School:

  • Completes the LearningFront™ Web Site Action Plan to identify the desired content for the web site pages, e.g., text, graphics, and standards-based tasks.
  • Provides the web site content in text files, jpeg or gif graphic files, materials for scanning, and other required digital formats.
  • Certifies that individuals whose photographs are included in the web site content have granted permission to use their photographs.

LearningFront™:

  • Designs the first version of the school web site according to the Web Site Action Plan and launches a preliminary version on a secured web site for the school to review and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Develops the final version of the school web site based on the feedback provided by the school and launches the penultimate version on a secured web site for final school approval.
  • Given the final approval by the school principal, launches the school web site as part of the TaskBuilderOnline Network of Learning Communities.

AND

2. Provide the first year of school web site web hosting for $300.00 that includes:

  • Six web pages
  • Table of six standards-based instruction and assessment tasks
  • Email forwarding to the school of comments made by visitors to the school web site

TOTAL SCHOOL COST - YEAR ONE: $2,000*

Additional costs may include travel expenses for a LearningFront™ web designer to visit your site, if needed.

PHASE TWO: "Improving Each Year" includes one of the following services:

1. Provide the annual renewal of the school web site hosting for $300.00 that includes:

  • Six original web pages
  • Table of original six standards-based instruction and assessment tasks
  • Email forwarding to the school of comments made by visitors to the school web site
  • Minor revisions to text to reflect improvements in web pages and standards-based tasks

OR

2. Provide the annual renewal of school web site hosting with improvements for $300.00 plus extra charges for improvements that might include:

  • Editing original standards-based instruction and assessment tasks
  • Adding new standards-based instruction and assessment tasks
  • Adding new graphics
  • Adding downloadable files, e.g., a PowerPoint presentation for a task
  • Adding a QuickTime Movie, e.g., a brief video episode of instruction
  • Adding a new web page to the web site

The School:

  • Completes the LearningFront™ Web Site Action Plan to identify the desired content improvements for the web site pages, e.g., text, graphics, and standards-based tasks.
  • Provides the web site content improvements in text files, jpeg or gif graphic files, photographs for scanning, and other required digital formats.
  • Certifies that individuals whose photographs are included in the web site content have granted permission to use their photographs.

LearningFront™:

  • Prepares a proposal for the services and fees required to make the content improvements to the school web site beyond the $300 annual hosting fee.
  • Given the approval by the school principal of the LearningFront™ proposal for improvements, designs the first version of the school web site according to the Web Site Action Plan and launches a preliminary version on a secured web site for the school to review and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Develops the final version of the improved school web site based on the feedback provided by the school and launches the penultimate version on a secured web site for final school approval.
  • Given the final approval by the school principal, launches the school web site as part of the TaskBuilderOnline Network of Learning Communities.
